“In Sha Allah, I hope he (Williamson) will join our team tomorrow,” Shanto said after Rajshahi lost to Chattogram Royals in Qualifier 1 in Mirpur earlier today.
Rajshahi have been in discussions with Williamson for several days and were keen to have him available even earlier for the first qualifier. However, his availability depended on his commitments in the SA20.
Williamson recently completed his SA20 campaign with Durban Super Giants, whose run in the tournament has come to an end.
With his SA20 duties now finished, Williamson is expected to join Rajshahi in time for Qualifier 2, potentially making his BPL debut as the team looks to secure a place in the final.
