Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman will not be part of the upcoming ILT20 Season 4, as the left-arm seamer has been released from the squad of Dubai Capital.
The much-anticipated ILT20 auction was held today (October 1), with several Bangladeshi cricketers up for grabs. Shakib Al Hasan, who had initially gone unsold in the first round, was later picked up by MI Emirates in the second call for USD 40,000.
Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman have officially requested No Objection Certificates (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). A BCB source confirmed to Cricfrenzy that Taijul applied for permission to participate in the SA20, while Mustafiz sought clearance to play for ILT20.
Mustafizur Rahman, who represented Delhi Capitals in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after signing for INR 6 crore, is set to play for the same franchise’s team in the International League T20 (ILT20). This time, he will don the jersey of Dubai Capitals.
