After completing their overseas league commitments, the two have returned together to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The pair were spotted travelling together on their way back to Dhaka on Thursday.
Taskin shared a photo with Mustafizur from inside the aircraft on social media, captioning it by stating that they were heading home after finishing their ILT20 campaign.
The right-arm pacer expressed his gratitude to Sharjah Warriors for their hospitality and also mentioned his eagerness to play in the upcoming BPL.
One of the favourites in this season’s BPL, Rangpur Riders, have signed Mustafizur Rahman on a direct contract. Taskin, meanwhile, will turn out for Dhaka Capitals.
This will be Mustafizur’s first appearance for Rangpur Riders in the BPL, although he previously played for Rangpur Rangers in the 2019–20 season.
Mustafizur has been in excellent form this year. Representing Dubai Capitals in the ILT20, he picked up 15 wickets in eight matches, making him the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker overall and the leading pacer so far.
He conceded runs at an economy rate of just 8.08. Taskin, on the other hand, claimed nine wickets in six matches for Sharjah Warriors, with an economy rate of 8.76.
