The deadlock between clubs and the Bangladesh Cricket Board has been resolved following the dissolution of Aminul Islam Bulbul’s board, with club organizers now agreeing to participate in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) under the ad-hoc committee led by Tamim Iqbal.

The BCB is aiming to start the tournament between April 22 and 25, although club organizers have proposed a later start from May 5 due to the ongoing New Zealand series.

While the official start date is yet to be finalized, the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) has confirmed the schedule for player transfers.

According to a press release, the player transfer window for the 2025–26 season will take place on April 18 and 19, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the CCDM office inside the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The transfer period will allow teams to reorganize their squads ahead of the tournament.

A total of 12 top clubs from Dhaka will compete in the country’s premier List ‘A’ competition, including traditional powerhouses like Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.

Other participating teams include Gazi Group Cricketers, Legends of Rupganj, Gulshan Cricket Club, Agrani Bank Cricket Club, Prime Bank Cricket Club, Bashundhara Strikers, Dhanmondi Sports Club, Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club, Brothers Union Limited, City Club, and Dhaka Leopards.
