Nahid claimed 6 for 21 in Harare on Monday, registering the best bowling figures by a Bangladesh bowler in ODI history. In doing so, he surpassed the long-standing national record set by Mashrafe Mortaza 20 years ago and later equalled by Rubel Hossain.
The outstanding spell has lifted Nahid 17 places to 12th in the ICC ODI bowling rankings, the highest ranking of his career.
Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz remains the country's highest-ranked ODI bowler at No. 9, although he slipped one place after going wicketless in the same match.
Shoriful Islam, who did not feature in the opening ODI, dropped three places to 21st, while Mustafizur Rahman slipped four spots to 27th after finishing without a wicket. Taskin Ahmed retained his 28th position.
In the ODI batting rankings, Towhid Hridoy held on to 20th place, while Najmul Hossain Shanto remained 29th. Tanzid Hasan dropped one place to 37th after a disappointing outing in the series opener.
