While an official announcement is yet to be made, preparations are already underway, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) working on finalizing the venues.
The ACC has requested further details from the BCB regarding the proposed venues, with Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (Mirpur), Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (Chattogram) currently under consideration.
Speaking to the media, BCB Security Committee chairman Saeed Ibrahim Ahmed said the board is evaluating its three regular international venues, although no final decision has been made.
"We are considering Mirpur, Chattogram and Sylhet, our regular international venues. Nothing has been finalized yet, but if the Asia Cup is held in Bangladesh next year, everyone will see the preparations," he said.
Ibrahim Ahmed added that the ACC has sought more detailed information on the proposed venues and expressed hope that the matter will be finalized within the next few days.
Bangladesh last hosted the Asia Cup in 2016, and the tournament's expected return after more than a decade would mark another major milestone for the country's cricket.
Ibrahim said the BCB is committed to delivering a successful event for players and fans alike.
"We are hopeful of hosting the Asia Cup again after so many years. Our goal is to deliver a memorable tournament for cricket fans, and we are doing everything possible to ensure that," he added.
