Miraz breaks into top 10 as Bangladesh players rise in ICC rankings

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has entered the top 10 of the ICC ODI bowlers’ rankings after an impressive series against Pakistan. Despite taking five wickets in three matches, his economical bowling stood out, helping him jump nine places to seventh in the latest weekly update.

Bangladesh’s pace attack also made significant gains. Nahid Rana starred with eight wickets at an average of 18.12, including his maiden five-wicket haul in the first ODI. He climbed 65 spots to 98th and shared the Player of the Series award with Tanzid Hasan Tamim.

Taskin Ahmed, who took six wickets, including four in one game, moved up 12 places to 28th, while Mustafizur Rahman rose 13 spots to 47th. However, Rishad Hossain slipped seven places in the rankings.

Among batters, Tanzid made a big leap after scoring 175 runs in the series, including a century and a fifty, climbing 31 places to 55th.

Litton Das also improved, moving up 10 spots to 82nd, while Towhid Hridoy advanced to 32nd, the highest-ranked Bangladeshi batter.
