The Pakistan Cricket Board has dismissed concerns over overseas players’ travel plans for the upcoming Pakistan Super League, despite ongoing tensions in the Gulf region and near Pakistan’s borders.

The 11th edition of the PSL is set to begin on March 26 in Lahore, with a strong presence of foreign players, including several from Australia.

According to recent media reports, all travel arrangements are in place, with Australian players expected to start arriving from next week.

Reports had suggested that some Australian players were hesitant due to security concerns, particularly regarding a match scheduled in Peshawar, which lies close to the Afghanistan border. However, the PCB insisted it has managed tougher situations in the past and is closely monitoring developments.

Notable Australian players signed for the tournament include Steve Smith, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne and Adam Zampa, among others.

This season will also mark the first time the PSL features eight teams, and it will once again overlap with the Indian Premier League, which begins three days later.
