BCB takes charge of Chattogram Royals, appoints Bashar, Babul, and Iqbal to lead team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has stepped in to manage the Chattogram Royals for the remainder of the Bangladesh Premier League season, naming former national captain Habibul Bashar as mentor, Mizanur Rahman Babul as head coach, and Nafees Iqbal as team manager.
The decision comes after franchise owner Kayum Rashed requested the BCB to take over the team, citing challenges in running the side under the current circumstances.
The application reportedly reached the board on December 25.
BCB officials stated that the move aims to stabilise the franchise and ensure smooth operations for the rest of the tournament.
