Nasir misses out

Rangpur Division and Barisal Division are on the field for
the fourth day to continue their clash in the National Cricket League. Winning
the toss, Barisal chose to bat and registered a total of 335 runs in their
first innings.
In reply, Rangpur have made 600-odd runs and are still
batting on. Meanwwhile, Rangpur’r middle-order batsman Nasir Hossain has
overcome his previous best score of 201 runs in first class. Before his
departure Nasir has played an astounding innings of 295 runs from 510
deliveries.

Nasir ended the 3rd day scoring 270 runs. He picked up 25
quick runs this morning but failed to hit the landmark as Liton Dey Sanjoy
dismissed him. The ‘finisher’ was just 5 runs short of his first ever
triple-century. Rangpur have seen another beautiful innings of 162 runs from
Ariful Haque.
Nasir’s presence in the national side has been somewhat
irregular throughout the whole year. This innings will surely make him a
possible option for the selectors to look for, if not earn him a definite call.
