After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Noakhali were blown away by a fiery spell from left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam.
He produced a career-best performance, claiming 5 wickets for just 9 runs, including a maiden, in 3.5 overs. Captain Sheikh Mahedi provided excellent support, picking up 3 wickets for 12 runs, as Noakhali were bundled out for 126 in 18.5 overs.
Hasan Isakhil top-scored with 25, while Jaker Ali made 23 and Sabbir Hossain added 22.
Chasing a modest target of 127, Chattogram Royals suffered an early collapse, losing four wickets for just 29 runs as the top order struggled against Ihsanullah’s pace.
However, skipper Mahedi steadied the innings and guided his side to victory with an unbeaten 59-run partnership with Asif Ali. Mahedi scored 49 off 36 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes, while Asif remained not out on 36 from 30 deliveries.
Chattogram reached the target in just 17 overs, moving a step closer to the first qualifier and firmly establishing themselves at the top of the standings.
