Put in to bat, Dhaka Capitals posted a modest 131 in their allotted 20 overs. Usman Khan was the standout performer, striking a brisk 41 off 27 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
Abdullah Al Mamun (12) and Nasir Hossain (24) provided some support, while Sabbir Rahman’s late cameo of 14 added brief momentum at the death.
Rajshahi’s bowlers kept Dhaka in check throughout the innings. Abdul Gaffar Saqlain was the pick of the attack with an impressive four-wicket haul, while Md Rubel claimed two wickets and Ripon Mondol chipped in with a hat-trick, ensuring Dhaka never gained full control.
In reply, Rajshahi Warriors made light work of the target, reaching 132 for 3 in just 16.1 overs. Tanzid Hasan anchored the chase with a scintillating 76 off 43 balls, smashing seven fours and five sixes to dominate the Dhaka bowling attack. His aggressive knock put Rajshahi firmly in command early in the chase.
Muhammad Waseem (22 off 13) provided a rapid start, while captain Najmul Hossain Shanto had a brief stay. After Tanzid’s dismissal, Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten on 12, with James Neesham contributing an assured 14 not out to finish the match in style.
