Chasing 177, South Africa made light work of the target, reaching 177/1 in just 16.1 overs with 23 balls to spare.
Captain Aiden Markram anchored the chase with a sublime unbeaten 82 off 46 balls, striking seven fours and four sixes. He found strong support from Quinton de Kock, who smashed 47 off 24 deliveries in a brisk opening stand of 95 inside eight overs.
After de Kock fell to Roston Chase, Ryan Rickelton ensured there were no further hiccups, finishing unbeaten on 45 off 28 balls as South Africa sealed the win emphatically.
The Proteas maintained a run rate of 10.94, underlining their dominance in a high-stakes encounter.
Earlier, West Indies posted 176/8 after being sent in to bat. The Caribbean side stumbled early, losing five wickets inside the first seven overs as Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi ripped through the top order.
Rabada claimed 2 for 22, while Ngidi starred with 3 for 30. Corbin Bosch chipped in with two wickets.
A late surge rescued West Indies from Jason Holder (49 off 31) and Romario Shepherd (52* off 37), whose partnership lifted the total to a competitive 176. However, the effort ultimately proved insufficient against South Africa’s clinical chase.
