Bangladesh Under-19 secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over the United States to confirm their place in the Super Six stage of the Under-19 World Cup, after a disciplined bowling effort restricted the USA to under 200.

Iqbal Hossain Emon led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Al Fahad, Shahriar Ahmed and Rizan Hossain picked up two apiece to bundle out the USA cheaply despite resistance from Sahil Garg (35) and Utkarsh Srivastava (39).

A late 43-run stand for the eighth wicket, led by Adnit Jhamba’s 68 off 69 balls, briefly lifted the USA total but proved insufficient.

In reply, Bangladesh got off to a solid start through Zawad Abrar and Rifat Beg, who added 78 for the opening stand.

Zawad narrowly missed a half-century, scoring 47 off 42 balls, while Rifat made 30. Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim then anchored the chase with a composed 64 off 82 deliveries, sharing a match-winning fourth-wicket partnership with Kalam Siddiqui Alin.

Contributions from Kalam (30) and Rizan Hasan (20) sealed an easy win as Bangladesh reached the target with seven wickets in hand.
