Chattogram Royals put up a strong all-round performance to beat Sylhet Titans by 14 runs in a lively T20 encounter, successfully defending a total of 198.

Batting first, Chattogram posted 198 for 5 from their 20 overs, built around a series of impactful contributions across the top and middle order.

Adam Rossington anchored the innings with a well-paced 49 off 38 balls, while Mahmudul Hasan Joy provided momentum with a rapid 44 off just 21 deliveries. Hasan Nawaz and Asif Ali chipped in with useful cameos before Chattogram accelerated late to set Sylhet a challenging target. Ruyel Miah was the pick of the Sylhet bowlers, claiming 3 for 41.

In reply, Sylhet Titans never quite recovered from early setbacks. They lost Parvez Hossain Emon cheaply and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals despite Afif Hossain’s steady 46 off 33 balls.

Brief resistance came from Ethan Brookes (20 off 10) and a late flourish from Khaled Ahmed, who struck 25 off nine balls, but the required rate kept climbing.

Aamer Jamal led Chattogram’s bowling attack with an impressive spell of 4 for 34, while Shoriful Islam picked up two wickets to apply pressure in the middle and death overs. Sylhet were eventually bowled out for 184 in 19.4 overs, falling short despite a spirited finish.

The result helped Chattogram Royals to go top of the table.
