Bangladesh pace bowler Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi has started new innings by entering into a new chapter in his life on Wednesday.
Rahi, pace spearhead of Bangladesh in Test cricket, tied the knot at homely atmosphere in his tea garden-girt hometown Sylhet.

The cricketer’s marriage information came into eyes when BCB director Shafiul Alam Nadel posted a photo of him beside the newly-married Rahi, who was in the groom’s attire.
Nadel attended the marriage ceremony and gave his best wishes to the 26-year-old paceman who was termed ‘pride of Sylhey’ by Shafiul Islam Chowdhury. The marriage of the Sylhet-born cricketer was completed last Wednesday.
“Abu Zayed Chowdhury Rahi, a reliable player of the Bangladesh national cricket team, is the pride of Sylhet. (He) started the second innings of his life,” Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel wrote on his Facebook post.
“The corona situation has ruined our way of life. Due to the corona situation, the marriage ceremony was completed on July 8, while maintaining the limited range, as per the health rules. In this auspicious moment of Rahi,” Nadel added.
