Pakistan captain Babar Azam was signed by the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Rangpur Riders as Rangpur posted Babar’s inclusion on social media Wednesday.
Last month several reports said that Pakistan's captain will miss out of the second edition of the ILT20 as the tournament will be played in January next year but the right-handed batting star has turned down a lucrative contract to play in the BPL.

The Pakistan star, who holds so many records in international arena, played BPL for Sylhet Sixers in 2017. This will be his second appearance for one of the biggest franchise leagues.

Besides, Rangpur has also retained three players. Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan and Hasan Mahmud have been retained by the former champions of BPL, Rangpur Riders chief executive Ishtiaq Sadiq confirmed this news.
BPL players draft will be held in the last week of September.
