Bangladesh has already lost the two-match Test series 2-0, and after losing the first two games of the three-match T20 series against India, the hosts clinched their 16th consecutive home T20 series with one match still to play.

The final match of the series will take place tomorrow at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Ahead of this, Bangladesh's batting failures throughout the series were a key point in today's press conference by the team's assistant coach, Nic Pothas.

When asked about Bangladesh's ability to hit sixes compared to India in T20 cricket, Pothas pointed out the physical differences between the players, saying, "That's a tough question. If one player weighs 95-100 kg and another 65 kg, the heavier player will naturally hit the ball further. Of course, timing and technique are important, and we are constantly working on that."

Pothas also referenced the difference between the IPL and Bangladesh's leagues, saying, "You also have to look at the IPL. It’s the best tournament in the world, producing players ready for the international stage. Comparing how many sixes India hits with how many we hit is like comparing West Indies and us. They have much stronger players. We are improving our strength and conditioning, but you can’t fight genetics."

When asked why Bangladesh couldn’t even reach 150 runs in the first two T20s, Pothas highlighted India's strength, "We’re playing a great team on their home turf. You’re right; the difference is visible. Look at our top order, Emon (Parvez Hossain) has played two matches, and we also have experienced players."

However, Pothas acknowledged Bangladesh’s shortcomings, "We didn’t bat as expected. We could have scored 170-180 runs. Whether India scores 220 or not, that’s about bowling, which I admit. We needed to score more runs. The pitch was excellent, and India bowled very well. We also missed several opportunities during the match."
