Tanzid had registered for the PSL player auction held in Lahore in February but was not picked initially.
However, he earned a late call-up following his impressive performances against Pakistan, where he scored a century and a half-century to share the Player of the Series award with Nahid Rana.
He joins fellow Bangladesh pacers Shoriful Islam and Nahid at Peshawar. While Shoriful was signed later, Nahid had secured his place through the auction and was also part of the franchise last season.
Tanzid is expected to resolve minor visa issues within a couple of days and should be available for the tournament.
However, he may not feature in the entire PSL season as he is likely to return home for Bangladesh’s ODI series against New Zealand national cricket team starting April 17, although he could rejoin for the T20I leg.
Other Bangladeshi players set to feature in the PSL include Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain and Parvez Hossain Emon. Mustafizur has been signed directly by Lahore Qalandars, where Parvez Emon will also play, while Rishad will represent Islamabad United in the tournament.
