Rajshahi Warriors booked their spot in the Bangladesh Premier League final with a thrilling 12-run win over Sylhet Titans in Qualifier 2 in Mirpur.

Batting first, Rajshahi posted a competitive 165/9 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant 45* from Kane Williamson and a quickfire 44 from James Neesham.

Tanzid Hasan (32) and Sahibzada Farhan (26) provided solid starts, giving Rajshahi a strong platform. For Sylhet, Salman Irshad and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up two wickets each, but could not stem the flow of runs in the death overs.

Chasing 166, Sylhet Titans fought back through a gritty 48 from Parvez Hossain Emon and 37 from Sam Billings, while Afif Hossain (21) added crucial late runs.

However, Rajshahi’s bowlers held their nerve under pressure, with Binura Fernando claiming 4 wickets and Tanzim Hasan Sakib taking 1 to limit Sylhet to 153/8. Despite a late cameo from Chris Woakes (15*), the Titans fell short by 12 runs.

With this win, Rajshahi Warriors advance to the BPL final, where they will face the Chattogram Royals, who had earlier defeated their opponents in Qualifier 1.

The final promises to be an exciting clash between two balanced sides, with Rajshahi banking on their newly added Kiwi star Williamson to make an impact.
