Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman have officially requested No Objection Certificates (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). A BCB source confirmed to Cricfrenzy that Taijul applied for permission to participate in the SA20, while Mustafiz sought clearance to play for ILT20.
Taijul Islam has been known as Bangladesh’s reliable left-arm orthodox spinner, particularly in Test cricket, where he is among the country’s top wicket-takers.
Bangladesh cricket will see significant representation in the upcoming SA20 2026 auction, with 14 players included in the 541-man pool.
A total of 23 Bangladeshi cricketers have entered their names for the SA20 auction, scheduled for September 9 in Johannesburg.
