Bangladesh HP win against Melbourne Renegades in Australia T20 series

Left-handed batter Parvez Hossain Emon scored a brilliant 69 off 48 balls, leading Bangladesh HP to a commanding 77-run victory over Melbourne Renegades in their opening match of the Top End T20 series in Darwin on Sunday.
Emon's innings featured two sixes and seven fours, helping Bangladesh set a total of 170 for six in their 20 overs. Lower-order batter Shamim Hossain remained unbeaten on 25, while captain Akbar Ali contributed 21 off 18 balls.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim scored 17 off nine balls, but Afif Hossain was dismissed without scoring. In response, Melbourne Renegades were bowled out for just 93 runs in 15.2 overs.
Only five Renegades batters managed to reach double figures, with opener Josh Brown and middle-order batter Marcus Harris each scoring 18 runs.
For the Bangladeshi side, pacer Ripon Mondol and spinner Rakibul Hasan took three wickets apiece, while pacer Abu Hider Rony and spinner Aliss Al Islam claimed two wickets each. Bangladesh will face Tasmania in their second match tomorrow.
