Fariha Trisna grabbed a maiden hat-trick on her T20I debut as Bangladesh thrashed Malaysia Women by 88 runs in the ongoing Asia Cup at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Malaysia were set a target of 130 runs, and they were skittled for 41 runs in 18.5 overs, with no batter reaching double figures for the side.
Trisna also became the first Bangladeshi Woman cricketer to take a hat-trick on the T20I debut, the left-arm pacer returned figures with three wickets conceding 12 runs in the four overs.

Trisna's hat-trick is the second by a Bangladeshi bowler in T20Is after Fahima Khatun claimed the feat in 2018 against UAE.
Apart from Trisna, Fahima Khatun, Rumana Ahmed and Sanjida Akter Meghla picked up a couple of wickets for the Tigress.
Bangladesh elected to bat first and they made a slow start as they lost opener Shamima Sultana for a duck and batter Fargana Haque for 10 runs.
Then skipper Nigar Sultana Joty and Murshida Khatun struck fifties to put on 87 runs for the third wicket stand. Nigar smashed 53 in 34 deliveries which featured six boundaries and a six and Murshida departed scoring a cautious 56 off 54 aided by six fours.
Nigar was adjudged the player of the match for her crucial knock. Bangladesh stands in the third position in the points table after India and Pakistan.
