Ravindra Jadeja sustained a right knee injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the ongoing edition of the Asia Cup in the UAE.
India have named Axar Patel as Jadeja's replacement, BCCI confirmed.

With the T20 World Cup in Australia less than two months away, India will be hoping Jadeja can recover fast. They will finish the Asia Cup and play bilateral home series against Australia and South Africa before that.

Jadeja has played an important role in both of India's matches at the Asia Cup so far. He bowled two economical overs against Pakistan before being elevated to No. 4 in India's 148-run chase, owing to the fact that he was the only left-hander among India's top seven.
He guided India to victory with a 29-ball 35 and ensured that Pakistan delayed left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz's fourth over until the match's last over.
Meanwhile, against Hong Kong, he dismissed top-scorer Babar Hayat while allowing only 15 runs in four overs.
