Sridharan Sriram, Bangladesh's newly designated technical consultant, arrived in Dhaka on Sunday around 2 p.m.
Sriram arrived in Bangladesh and went straight to the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, where an intra-squad match was taking place between the players selected for the Asia Cup squad.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selected Sriram as the T20I team's technical consultant in an official announcement on Friday.

After the appointment, Sriram said he was excited and looking forward to the role.

“I bring with me twenty-five years of cricketing experience and nine years of coaching at an elite level. I am really looking forward to working with the Bangladesh players. I believe Bangladesh has huge potential in white ball cricket and the very thought of being involved with such a talented group of players at two high profile events excites me,” Sriram said.
Sriram's association with Cricket Australia began in 2015, when he was a member of the coaching staff for Australia A during their tour of India. Sriram has spent six years with the Australian national team, primarily as a spin coach.
He just quit his position as Australia's assistant coach to pursue a coaching career in India. In addition to coaching batting and spin bowling for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, the former slow left-arm bowler also served as a batting and spin bowling coach.
However, Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo wasn’t seen on the field as he was resting in the hotel room during the match.
