Abahani clinch DPL title after beating Mohammedan in final-day showdown

Premier all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is set to feature for Legends of Rupganj in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) after Mohammedan failed to progress into the Super League phase of the tournament.

According to the by-laws of DPL, if a player does not play for their side whose campaign had ended, then that player can request for a transfer to another club that is still active in the competition.

Shakib will be joined by former captain Mashrafe Mortaza, Shabbir Rahman, Al-Amin, and others in the Rupganj camp.

Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehedi Hasan Miraz were also roped by Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club as the players didn’t appear in any of the league because of International duty.
