Dhaka Premier League (DPL) matches on ground 3 and 4 respectively at BKSP seemed like a fantastic pitch for batters as three senior players got century on Friday.


At ground 4, Prime Bank faced Rupganj Tigers, who shocked defending champions Abahani Limited in their previous encounter, while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi played against Legends of Rupganj at ground 3.


Prime Bank won by 86 runs, while Sheikh Jamal beat Legends by 49 runs.

Anamul Haque Bijoy, bowling for Prime Bank, was the first to a century in the sprint to triple figures today with a 125-ball 127. Eight fours and eight sixes were sprinkled throughout Bijoy's 13th List A ton.

Nasir Hossain of Prime Bank was batting at number four and was up against Imrul Kayes of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi, who was batting at ground 3. Both players scored tons in the end but Imrul (122 off 139) got there first, scoring his 11th List A ton in the 41st over.


Nasir got off to a quick start in the 42nd over, hitting Farhad Reza for four and completing his eighth List A century. Prime Bank were put in to bat and got off to a good start despite losing two wickets before Bijoy and Nasir put on a 196-run third-wicket stand-off 186 deliveries. Nasir was unbeaten on 105 as Prime Bank scored a total of 314 for six wickets.


Sheikh Jamal posted 297 for 5 in Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's first game for Legends of Rupganj this season. Mashrafe got the wicket of Shykat Ali in his first over and ended with figures of 61 for 1 in 10 overs for Legends of Rupganj.


In Mirpur, Gazi Group Cricketers’ Qazi Onik has bagged six for 30 to bundle up City Club for only 199 runs as Gazi comfortably reached the target with the loss of four wickets, thanks to Mehedi Maruf’s 90 from 113 balls.
