In a media release, the BCB said the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), which is hosting the series, had informed them that it was awaiting the required approval from the Omani authorities.
The visa process was initiated in early September and is being coordinated through the ACB. The BCB clarified that the issuance of visas was beyond its control.
The BCB has kept the squad ready for departure and will arrange travel as soon as the visas are issued.
The board did not provide a revised departure date for the Bangladesh U-19 team.
