Bangladesh U-19s bounce back with thumping win over Sri Lanka

Al Fahad starred with the ball, wreaking havoc on the Sri Lankan batting line-up. Bangladesh had lost the opening match of the six-match youth ODI series.
Playing at the Colombo Cricket Club Ground on Monday, Sri Lanka opted to bat first after winning the toss in the second match.
They made a steady start, adding 30 runs in 4.4 overs for the opening stand. However, a sudden collapse saw them slump to 49 for 3. Recovery efforts led by Chamika Henatigala (51) and Dinuma Damsith (47) helped them reach 211 all out in 48.5 overs.

Bangladesh chased down the target comfortably in just 34.3 overs. Jawad Abrar and Kalam Siddiqui added 35 runs for the opening partnership before Kalam fell for just 5. From there, Jawad and skipper Azizul guided the team home without any further hiccups.
Jawad remained unbeaten on a scintillating 130 off 106 balls, hammering 14 fours and six sixes. Azizul also remained not out, scoring 69 off 89 balls with four boundaries and three sixes.
In the bowling department, right-arm pacer Al Fahad was the standout performer, claiming 6 wickets for 44 runs in 9.5 overs. Iqbal Hossain Emon picked up two wickets, while Samiun and Azizur took one wicket each.
