Pakistan are interested in playing a five-match ODI series against Bangladesh in January 2027, with discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) potentially taking place over the proposed series.

A PCB source confirmed the development to Cricfrenzy, although no formal announcement has been made by either board yet.

Bangladesh’s international schedule for January remains uncertain as the BCB is still waiting for clarity over the rescheduling of their postponed series against India.

Whether that series can be played in January has yet to be decided.

As a result, the proposed five-match ODI series against Pakistan could also be affected if the India series is rescheduled during the same window.

Bangladesh and Pakistan most recently faced each other in a three-match ODI series in March this year. Bangladesh won that series 2-1 in Mirpur.

Pakistan are reportedly keen to play the five-match series as part of their preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

However, there has been no official confirmation from either board regarding the proposed series. It is also yet to be decided whether the matches would be hosted in Pakistan or Bangladesh.
