Khaled took two wickets in Gloucestershire’s second innings after claiming three in the first, finishing with five wickets in the match.
Gloucestershire were bowled out for 229 in their first innings, with James Bracey scoring 86 and Ollie Price making 52.
Kent responded with 353, gaining a significant first-innings lead, with Ben Compton scoring 126 and Bell-Drummond contributing 55.
Kent’s bowlers again kept Gloucestershire under pressure in the second innings as the visitors were dismissed for 241.
Kamran Dhariwal offered some resistance with 66, while Matt Milnes claimed five wickets for Kent. Khaled also played an important role in restricting the visitors and helping Kent set up a target of 117.
Kent received confirmation of their promotion while Gloucestershire were still batting, as their only rivals for promotion, Northamptonshire, lost to Middlesex at Lord’s.
Chasing 117, Zak Crawley came out attacking and hit a boundary from the first ball. He fell for 44, while Compton was dismissed for four.
Sam Northeast then guided Kent home with an unbeaten 49. He finished the match in style, hitting a six followed by two consecutive fours off Ross Price as Kent reached 120-2 to seal an eight-wicket victory.
The win was Kent’s eighth of the season and confirmed their return to the first division of the County Championship.
