Reports in the Pakistani media recently claimed that Yousuf was set to take over as Bangladesh's batting coach following the team's recent struggles with the bat.
However, a BCB source dismissed the speculation, saying the board was unaware of any such development.
Speaking to Cricfrenzy, Yousuf clarified that the BCB had not made any official contact.
"I have not received any such offer from the BCB so far. But if the opportunity comes, I would like to become Bangladesh's batting coach," Yousuf said.
Bangladesh's batting has come under scrutiny despite the team's impressive run in ODI cricket, where they secured series victories over the West Indies, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Australia, and swept Pakistan in a Test series at home.
However, the Tigers have struggled in recent weeks. Batting collapses contributed to an innings defeat in the one-off Test against Zimbabwe, a 2-1 ODI series loss, and another disappointing display in the opening T20I.
Since retiring from professional cricket, Yousuf has built coaching experience in Pakistan. He has served as batting coach at the PCB High Performance Centre, worked as batting coach of the Pakistan national team, coached the Pakistan Under-19 side, and was also a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board's selection panel.
