Bangladesh lost the one-off Test by an innings before conceding the first two ODIs to surrender the three-match series.
The visitors avoided a whitewash with a seven-wicket victory in the final ODI and now shift their focus to the three-match T20I series in Bulawayo.
Hridoy, who will lead Bangladesh in the absence of the injured Litton Das, said the team is focused on taking the series one game at a time rather than looking too far ahead.
"We definitely have a goal, but there is a process to achieve it. The best approach is to think match by match. Right now, my full focus is on tomorrow's game. If we perform well on the day, then hopefully the results will follow," Hridoy said.
Bangladesh entered the Zimbabwe tour after winning four consecutive ODI series against the West Indies, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia, but struggled to adapt to Zimbabwean conditions.
While the pace attack consistently put the hosts under pressure, the batters failed to capitalize, resulting in defeats in both the Test and ODI series.
Hridoy believes winning the T20I series would be an ideal way for Bangladesh to respond to those setbacks.
The 24-year-old was handed the captaincy after Litton Das was ruled out of both the Zimbabwe T20Is and the Lanka Premier League due to injury.
"My first priority is to help the team win. I'll try to contribute in every way I can. Leading Bangladesh is a matter of great pride and honour, but at the end of the day, the result is what matters most. As a team, we want to win this series," he said.
