Resuming the day in a desperate bid to avoid an innings defeat, Bangladesh showed brief resistance through Mushfiqur Rahim (34) and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (30), but regular wickets ensured Zimbabwe stayed firmly in control.
Wicketkeeper-batter Amite Hasan added a fighting 25, while Hasan Mahmud (15) and Ebadot Hossain (12 not out) chipped in late, but Bangladesh's innings lasted just 45 overs.
Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani starred with the ball, claiming 4 for 65, while Richard Ngarava picked up 3 for 32 and Newman Nyamhuri finished with 2 for 28.
Earlier, Zimbabwe had taken complete control of the contest with a mammoth 410 in their first innings after Bangladesh were dismissed for just 140. Innocent Kaia led the charge with a superb 140, while Wessly Madhevere (77 not out), Craig Ervine (60) and Brian Bennett (59) all struck half-centuries.
Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was Bangladesh's standout performer, claiming an impressive 7 for 138, but received little support from the other bowlers.
Bangladesh's batting struggled in both innings. Mominul Haque's 60 was the lone bright spot in the first innings before the visitors were bundled out for 140.
In the second innings, no batter managed to convert a start into a substantial score as Zimbabwe's pace attack proved too strong.
The emphatic victory gives Zimbabwe a memorable home Test win, while Bangladesh are left to reflect on another disappointing performance with both bat and ball.
