Arshdeep Singh has been fined 15 percent of his match fee for a Level 1 breach of the International Cricket Council Code of Conduct during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

The India pacer was found guilty of throwing the ball inappropriately towards batter Daryl Mitchell during the 11th over of New Zealand’s innings, with the ball hitting Mitchell’s pads.

Along with the fine, one demerit point was added to Arshdeep’s record, his first offence in 24 months. He accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Andy Pycroft, meaning no formal hearing was required.

India went on to defeat New Zealand by 96 runs to win their third T20 World Cup title.
