The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has formally requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to honour its commitment to play the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match against India on February 15, emphasizing the importance of the fixture for the global cricket ecosystem.

In a statement, the BCB expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the PCB, the International Cricket Council (ICC), and all parties involved for their positive roles in navigating recent challenges.

Special appreciation was extended to PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, his board, and the cricket fans of Pakistan, highlighting their exemplary sportsmanship and solidarity.

BCB President Md Aminul Islam, following a short visit to Pakistan, said: “We are deeply moved by Pakistan’s efforts to go above and beyond in supporting Bangladesh during this period. Long may our brotherhood flourish. Given the forthcoming outcomes of our discussions, I request Pakistan to play the ICC T20 World Cup game on February 15 against India for the benefit of the entire cricket ecosystem.”
