Sri Lanka have announced their squad for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan, marking a key stage in their build-up to the ICC T20 World Cup, which gets underway on February 7.

Led by Dasun Shanaka, the squad blends experience with depth and includes several players who were not part of the initial preliminary group named for the World Cup. Their selection intensifies competition for spots as the team management continues to assess its options ahead of confirming the final squad for the tournament.

With the World Cup drawing closer, the series provides Sri Lanka with a valuable chance to refine team combinations and gain momentum against a strong opponent.

The visitors, who are yet to reveal their World Cup squad, will offer a stern challenge as both teams aim to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the global event to be held in India and Sri Lanka.
