Bangladeshi umpires Masudur Rahman and Gazi Sohel have been appointed to officiate in the upcoming Asia Cup, with Masudur taking charge as an on-field umpire in the much-anticipated India-Pakistan group-stage clash.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the full list of match officials and group-stage appointments on Monday.

Masudur will serve as an on-field umpire in the India-Pakistan Group A fixture on September 14 in Dubai. He and Sohel will also feature in the India-UAE Group A match on September 10, acting as fourth and on-field umpires respectively.

In the Pakistan-Oman Group A game on September 12, Masudur has been assigned as an on-field umpire, while Sohel will take charge as TV umpire.

The pair will also officiate the Sri Lanka-Hong Kong Group B match on September 14, where Sohel will be on-field and Masudur will handle TV umpiring duties.

Additionally, Sohel will act as the fourth umpire in the Pakistan-UAE Group A encounter on September 17.

The 17th edition of the tournament begins on September 9 with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi.
