Earlier, Zimbabwe posted a competitive 191/8 thanks to a string of fiery cameos. Wicketkeeper-opener Tadiwanashe Marumani anchored the innings with a steady 51 (44), while captain Sikandar Raza (28 off 18) and Ryan Burl (26 off 15) provided late acceleration.

Sri Lanka’s bowlers were tested but Dushan Hemantha (3/38) and Dushmantha Chameera (2/33) struck at crucial intervals to keep the hosts in check.

Zimbabwe’s hopes of defending their total quickly diminished as Sri Lanka’s top order launched an aggressive reply. Pathum Nissanka (33 off 20) and Kusal Mendis (30 off 17) set the tone in the powerplay, before Mishara and Perera put the game beyond Zimbabwe’s reach with an unbroken 117-run partnership for the third wicket.
Zimbabwe’s bowlers struggled for control, with only Raza (1/29) and Brad Evans (1/28) managing breakthroughs, while Sri Lanka’s stroke-makers took apart Muzarabani and Ngarava.
The win gives Sri Lanka a 2-1 series triumph, boosting their confidence ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup.
