The APL has confirmed Taskin’s registration, while the other two names were reported by tournament sources.
The APL will return after its first edition in 2018, with the new season scheduled to begin on December 27.
Player registration ran from September 1 to 19, with more than 1,000 cricketers, including over 500 overseas players, registering for the draft.
Shakib has continued to feature in overseas franchise leagues in recent times and most recently played in the Lanka Premier League.
Taskin was also expected to play in the LPL but withdrew to focus on preparations for Bangladesh’s Australia tour.
Rana is yet to play in an overseas franchise league outside the Pakistan Super League. With the APL taking place after Bangladesh’s South Africa tour, both Nahid and Taskin could be available for the tournament.
The draft is scheduled for September 27. However, there are reports that it could be delayed if the franchises are not finalised in time.
