The Global Super League (GSL), launched in 2024, is set to stage its third edition this year. Following the first two successful seasons, the tournament will once again be held as scheduled, with organizers already announcing the fixtures.

The upcoming edition will run from July 23 to August 1 in Guyana and, as in previous seasons, will feature five teams. The competition brings together champion teams from various franchise leagues around the world, with a total prize pool of USD 1 million.

Rangpur Riders were crowned champions in the inaugural 2024 edition. They earned their place after Fortune Barishal opted not to participate and went on to win the title by defeating a Victoria-based Australian club in the final. The squad featured players such as Nurul Hasan Sohan and Soumya Sarkar.

In the second edition, Rangpur returned as defending champions and once again reached the final. However, they fell short against Guyana Amazon Warriors, finishing as runners-up.

This year, Rajshahi Warriors are likely to represent Bangladesh in the tournament. If everything proceeds as planned, they will compete in Guyana in the third edition.

Rajshahi secured their spot after winning the latest Bangladesh Premier League title, defeating Chattogram Royals in the final.

Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, the championship-winning side included experienced names like Mushfiqur Rahim, Jimmy Neesham and Kane Williamson. Shanto has already expressed his interest in participating in the GSL.
