The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set for a major shake-up ahead of its 2026 edition, with the tournament introducing a player auction for the first time in its 11-year history and expanding to eight teams following the addition of franchises from Hyderabad and Sialkot.

Ahead of the PSL 2026 auction, all franchises except Multan Sultans have confirmed their retained players, with teams allowed to keep up to four cricketers across Platinum, Diamond, Gold and Silver categories. Multan, which will now be based in Rawalpindi following its sale on February 9, is yet to announce its retentions.

Several teams have also secured direct overseas signings before the auction, adding further intrigue to squad-building for the upcoming season.

The PSL 2026 auction is set to start at 11.30am local time (12pm IST, 6.30am GMT).

The PSL 2026 auction will be streamed live on the tournament’s YouTube channel. It will also be available to watch live on PCB’s YouTube page.
