Bangladesh Retain Unchanged Squad for Sylhet Test Against Pakistan

Bangladesh have announced an unchanged squad for the second and final Test against Pakistan, scheduled to begin on 16 May at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS).

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Tuesday that the selectors have decided to stick with the same group of players that featured in the opening Test of the series.

Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue to lead the side, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz remains the vice-captain. Experienced campaigners Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das and Mominul Haque have also retained their places alongside the pace trio of Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury.

Young pacer Nahid Rana and opener Tanzid Hasan are also part of the squad for the Sylhet Test.

The BCB also addressed speculation regarding a possible venue change due to weather concerns, confirming that the second Test will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium as originally scheduled.
