The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to not grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Pakistan batter Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman to participate in the ongoing BPL.
"The decision was made in the best interests of all the stakeholders involved while balancing the importance of game time with workload management," PCB stated in a statement.

Dhaka's Saim Ayub, Chattogram's Mohammad Haris were not also given NOC due to their involvement in two leagues since July 2023.

As per sources, pacers Ihsanullah for Rangpur, Comilla's Naseem Shah, and Chattogram's Mohammad Hasnain were not given NOCs keeping the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and T20 World Cup in mind.
However, Babar and Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Faheem Ashraf, and Usman Qadir secured positions in various teams participating in BPL.
The players will join the squads after the New Zealand T20Is on January 21.
