After the two-day medical examination, the cricketers are scheduled to undergo a fitness test on August 3.

Then the Asia Cup skill camp will start from August 8. Before that, the team of 32 members will be reduced to 21-22.

The team will be announced in the first week of August. The skill camp will start with them. Members of the national team's coaching staff will return to Dhaka before that.

"Currently physios, BCB doctors and national team physios are taking responsibility. When the fitness test happens, the fitness trainer will take charge. When the bowling workload happens, the bowling coach will take over. The batting coach will take responsibility when the batting part arrives. Everyone has shared responsibility, will perform accordingly. It is actually a regular process,” he added.

However, many of the regulars of the national team are not staying in the fitness camp. Litton Das and Afif Hossain are playing Global T20 League in Canada. Shakib Al Hasan also played Global T20 League as he has joined the ongoing Lankan Premier League (LPL), which started yesterday [Sunday].

Towhid Hridoy and Shoriful Islam are also playing in LPL. Zim-Afro T-10 League players Taskin Ahmed and Mushfiqur Rahim will join the camp after some rest .

“Now actually 5 cricketers are out to play our franchise cricket - Shakib, Litton, Afif, Shoriful, Hridoy. They have specific dates per their NOC (No objection Certificate). They will join the camp later. If a team doesn't make it to the finals, in that case, they will come to the camp earlier.” Nafees added.
