Bangladesh will have to mix aggression with caution during the power play to earn success in the upcoming World Cup, said spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi on Tuesday.
Bangladesh did not do any better than what they usually do in the batting power play against India on Tuesday as the put up 49-2 after 10 overs chasing 360 to win in their only warm-up game ahead of the global cricket event, scheduled to start on from May30.
Bangladesh eventually lost the game by 95 runs and never looked to be on the chase once the fielders were spread all over the ground after the batting power play was over.

Bangladesh have to improve their performance in the power plays as neither do they play all out in that phase nor do they keep their wickets intact that looked to be crucial for posting a total well over 320 to 350 runs.
According to a stat from 2015 World Cup till May 30 Bangladesh are placed at number eight position in the list of top batting teams in the power plays, scoring runs at a rate of 4.70 runs per over in the first 10 overs while they lose wickets in every 44 balls during this time frame.
On the other hand England is at the top of the list of power play batting teams as they are scoring at 5.79 runs per over in the power plays and according to many cricket analyst their positive batting intent from the word go gives them an edge over others.
“I think the power play is very important. Especially in this part of the world,’’ Joshi told reporters at the post match press conference.
‘’If you don’t lose too many wickets in the power play you can always chase 350, 370 or 400 for that matter,’’ he said
