Saqlain Mushtaq will coach Shakib

Saqlain Mushtaq will coach Shakib Al Hasan and the other
spinners in Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming Pakistan Super League [PSL] this
year. He will be supporting Zalmi’s head-coach Mohammad Akram as a spin bowling
consultant.
The inventor of ‘doosra’ will join the team on Sunday. He has previously coached England and will be seen in the dugout of Peshawar Zalmi from February 22.
In the opening match of the tournament, the reigning champions – Peashawar Zalmi – will face the newcomers of the league, Multan Sultans.

The 41-year-old will guide the spin unit to defend the title for the Peshawar-based franchise. Although Shakib Al Hasan is currently out of the game owing to a finger injury, he will join the side after getting fully fit and will be unavailable for the latter stage of the league due to Nidahas Trophy where Bangladesh will participate along with India and the hosts, Sri Lanka.
After appointing Mushtaq, Peshawar Zalmi tweeted: “Welcome to the Zalmi Family, Saqlain Mushtaq! The spin bowling maestro joins us as our spin bowling consultant for upcoming edition of PSL.”
