"Litton Das has found a team; he will play for Gulshan [Cricket Club]. But I am not sure about Mustafizur. It would be really unfortunate if he doesn’t get a team. They are national team stars, and they should definitely be playing in this tournament," Tamim stated.

Tamim, a strong advocate for domestic cricket, reiterated his belief that the DPL is the backbone of Bangladesh cricket and that top players must participate.

"I have said before that the Premier League is the backbone of our cricket. Players like Litton and Mustafizur should definitely be playing. I hope that with so many big clubs involved, someone will pick them. They are proven performers and deserve to play for the best teams," he added.

This year’s DPL features 12 teams, but player salaries have dropped significantly compared to previous seasons. However, cricketers have agreed to play despite lower wages, prioritizing match practice and financial stability.

Litton initially hesitated to commit to a team due to payment disputes, but in the end, he signed with Gulshan, a team built around young talent. Azizul Haque Tamim has been named the team’s captain, while Khaled Mahmud Sujon will serve as the head coach.

With Litton’s inclusion confirmed, attention now shifts to whether Mustafizur Rahman will secure a team before the tournament begins.
