Bowlers thrive in Dhaka-Chittagong clash

||Desk Report||
Unlike the other Tier 2 encounter, the National Cricket League match between Dhaka Division and Chittagong Division did not go all one-sided after the end of day-1.
Batting first at Chittagong, Dhaka Division were all-out for 238 runs. Apart from two fifties from Rony Talukdar and Taibur Rahman, Saif Hasan’s 34-run innings coupled with 20-odd runs from each of Shuvagata Hom and Mosharraf Hossain helped the team to laboriously take the score past 200 runs.
Jubair Hossain, one of the country’s very few wrist-spinners, took a fifer for his side to dismantle the Dhaka Division while Nayeem Hasan bagged a wicket and Hasan Mahmud scalped two.

Chittagong Division, too, have had a horrible start with Irfan Sukkur and skipper Mominul Haque getting dismissed for a duck. Sadiqur Rahman finished the day being unbeaten on 22 runs and will resume the innings on day-2 along with Tasamul Haque, who has scored 2 runs so far.
Shahadat Hossain took both the wickets for Dhaka Division. The other bowlers of the team will also need to fire on all cylinders on the second day to help their side mount a comeback in the game.
