Tamim submits nomination papers for BCB election

In the lead-up to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections, the Election Commission distributed nomination papers for director posts on September 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Yesterday, a representative of Tamim Iqbal collected the nomination papers on his behalf, and today the same representative has officially submitted them.

Tamim is a councillor from the Old DOHS Club under Category 2.

A total of 60 candidates across three categories have collected nomination papers to contest in the upcoming elections.

From Category 1 (Districts & Divisions), 25 candidates have taken forms; with Dhaka (3), Chattogram (5), Khulna (3), Rajshahi (4), Sylhet (3), Rangpur (6), and Barishal (1).

In Category 2 (Dhaka Clubs), 32 individuals have collected nomination papers, while 3 candidates have submitted from Category 3 (Universities & Organizations).

Among the high-profile names, former Bangladesh captain and current BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul has collected his nomination from the Dhaka Divisional Sports Association.

From Khulna Division, Abdur Razzak has become a councillor and collected his nomination under Category-1 after stepping down from the Bangladesh men's team selection panel yesterday.
